‘Time of the Sun and Moon’ is a kinetic artwork installed at POSCO, one of the leading steel companies in South Korea. It is made of POSCO’s stainless steel. By moving lively, this epic work depicts the history between humanity and steel as a gift from nature. The motif of the design is a solar eclipse - when sun and moon, as symbols of light, energy, and the origin of nature - meet. It tells three stories to the audience: Firstly, the coexistence of man and steel; secondly, the history of iron from nature; and finally, the beginning of communication between man and iron. It reacts when visitors approach it with movement and a rich musical harmony.
